What is Alzheimer’s Disease?
Alzheimer’s disease is a brain condition that causes a progressive decline in memory, thinking, learning and organizing skills. It eventually affects a person’s ability to carry out basic daily activities. Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is the most common cause of dementia.

How Do I Know if I have Alzheimer’s?
Our team cannot diagnose Alzheimer’s for you. Speak with your doctor if you or your loved one is experiencing some of the most common symptoms of Alzheimer’s.

The symptoms of AD involve a gradual decline in some, most or all of the following:

  • Memory
  • Reasoning and handling of complex tasks
  • Language
  • Understanding visual form and space relationship
  • Behavior and personality

How Common is Alzheimer’s Disease?
Alzheimer’s disease is common. It affects approximately 24 million people across the world. One in 10 people older than 65 and nearly a third of people older than 85 have the condition.

You or your loved one may qualify for our studies if they:
– Are between the ages of 50-80
– Have confirmed or suspected mild-moderate Alzheimer’s Dementia
– Are experiencing progressive memory loss for at least 6 months
