What is Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy (DPN)?
Peripheral neuropathy (nerve pain in the feet, legs, or hands) is often caused by nerve damage from long-term diabetes, including hyperglycemia, Type 1 diabetes, and Type 2 diabetes.

How Do I Know if I Have Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy (DPN)?
Our team cannot diagnose DPN for you. Speak with your doctor if you’re experiencing some of the most common symptoms for DPN:

  • Numbness, tingling or pins & needles sensation (most commonly in your feet)
  • Sensations like burning, shooting, or stabbing pain
  • Muscle weakness
  • Slow healing or lingering foot ulcers
  • Total loss of feeling in the foot

How Common is Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy (DPN)?
There are many studies out there, but DPN is relatively common, affecting around 50% of diabetics.

You may qualify for our studies if you:
– Are over 18 years of age
– Have been diagnosed with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes with chronic pain
– Have A BMI between 18-40
