Scott Treiber, PhD, MBA

Chief Operating Officer

With thirty years of progressive leadership roles in the pharmaceutical industry, Scott has a significant depth of experience and a broad network of connections. He has led cross functional teams at CROs, pharma and a site network. Among other areas, he has overseen clinical operations, strategic development, medical affairs, data management, biostatistics, regulatory, safety and quality. In the first half of his career, Scott managed trials across multiple therapeutic indications and started three CRO offices in the Chicago area – ICON, Quintiles and PharmaNet. More recently, Scott oversaw all biopharmaceutical clinical development at Theorem. As the Chief Development Officer and subsequently the Chief Operating Officer at Elligo Health Research, Scott and the Elligo team built a de novo network of sites in the US as well as a suite of technology services. In early 2020, Scott joined Synteract to revamp their general medicine franchise. He then took over the neuroscience development center and was responsible for procuring many new programs and clients for both development centers.

Scott has a strong interest in technology enablement and has been involved in decentralized/hybrid trial strategy and implementation at Elligo and Synteract/Syneos Health.  At Walmart Healthcare Research Institute as Head, Research Operations and Regulatory, Scott leveraged his strong operational and partnership expertise to execute innovative programs with many of the largest pharmaceutical and biotech clients. Scott has also been an active board member at the Center for Healthcare Innovation – a non-profit research and educational institute making healthcare more equitable. He has also provided consultative support to technology start-ups over the last decade.
