Yemi Gbohunmi, M.D., PhD, CPI

Medical Director & Principal Investigator – General Medicine, Neurology, & Vaccine

Dr. Gbohunmi is a trained physician-scientist with a career spanning clinical practice, research, biotech, and biopharma. Dr. Gbohunmi served as an associate medical director and principal investigator at Fortrea, leading multiple studies across different specialties from conception to completion. He has served as a neuromodulation engineer consultant for Abbott Laboratories where he worked on the functional design of DRG stimulators and has also served as a clinical and scientific consultant for Ecotone AI, overseeing the scientific approach to study drug and clinical trial development.

Dr. Gbohunmi attained his medical and doctoral degrees from UT Southwestern Medical Center. He trained in Neurological Surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and has extensive research experience from institutions like NIMH, the University of Virginia, and Johns Hopkins University resulting in numerous publications. Dr. Gbohunmi is passionate about innovative solutions to medical problems and looks to leverage and maximize AI capabilities to drive efficiency in drug discovery and development. In his spare time, Dr. Gbohunmi enjoys spending time with his family, soccer, and calisthenics as a means to self-mastery.
